About TheresaI’m a mother, a daughter, a sister, a writer, an entrepreneur, a photographer, a friend, a mentor, a student, an Emmy winner, a lover, a fighter, a music lover, a drama hater … Whoa. This is starting to sound like that song. Basically, like any other human being on the planet, I’m a multi-faceted multi-talented individual. In my full time job as The Local Tourist I thrive on helping people have fun and figure out what to do in Chicago, but sometimes I have other ideas and thoughts. Since I’m in media I have a very public persona, so why do I want to open up even more of my life? I’m a writer, and a writer needs, nay craves, readers. This site is going to be my “brain dump”, as it were. I may talk about laughing children one time and the ethics of blogging the next. I may post a photo of a favorite band, or my camera-shy teenager, or a gorgeous flower. Who knows. Welcome to my brain. Hope you enjoy the ride!
