Good to be Bad

Day 5: “To be good is to be forgotten. I’m going to be so bad I’ll always be remembered.”Theda Bara, silent film vixen

When I was growing up my mom used to sing a little rhyme to me:

“There was a little girl
who had a little curl
right in the middle of her forehead.
And when she was good
she was very, very good.
But when she was bad
she was horrid.”

It always seemed to me, even from those few, short verses, that the little girl had much more fun when she wasn’t very, very good. Being horrid sounded oh, so much more delicious. And yet…I was a good girl.

Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if  I weren’t such a good girl.

I guess I wouldn’t remember…

This is Day 5 of my attempt to write a blog post for every day of the year, prompted by “Wild Words from Wild Women“.
